I apologize for the relatively short post. The end of the school semester is approaching, and as a result, homework, projects, and studying consume every single minute of my day.
Georgia Tech (#21) played Virginia Tech (#10) last Thursday night in front of a white-out crowd at Bobby Dodd Stadium on ESPN. Every since the ACC Coastal has existed, this match-up has determined who represents the Coastal Division in the ACC Championship game, and this year was no different.
Unfortunately, this was not the same Georgia Tech team that dominated Clemson, but was still much better than the teams that showed up against Virginia and Miami. This inconsistency is not surprising since Georgia Tech has the second youngest team in all of college football. But it was disappointing to see how well the GT defense would do for 1 or 2 plays, and then how awful they’d do on the important, long third-down plays.
The score remained very close throughout almost the entire game. It wasn’t until the 4th quarter that VT gained the 11 point lead that was too much for GT to recover from. The game concluded in a 37-26 VT victory, and GT was eliminated from the ACC Coastal division race.
I nearly froze my fingers off at the game, so hopefully you enjoy the photos
