About

Austin Foote was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating from high school, he left home but remained in the Atlanta area and began attending Georgia Tech to earn a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.

Despite living in Atlanta his entire life, Austin has actually traveled to all 50 states, 6 Canadian provinces, and several other countries. All of this traveling is what originally sparked his interest in photography. Austin’s passion for photography has grown ever since purchasing his first DSLR during the summer of 2009. Photography has proven to be a much-needed creative outlet for Austin that balances out the highly technical culture at Georgia Tech.

Austin is currently a staff photographer at the Georgia Tech newspaper, the Technique, which allows him to gain experience with all forms of photography. Thanks to this diverse experience, he is not classified as specializing in one type of photography, but rather as a photographer capable of producing whatever is needed.
